The session, step by step

StageWhat happens
Report & in-processingArrive at least 15 minutes early. NRIC/11B check, booking verification, attire check.
Safety briefingConduct, station rules and safety instructions from the FCC instructors.
Push-ups1 minute, as many correct reps as possible.
Sit-ups1 minute, as many correct reps as possible.
2.4km runThe longest block — includes marshalling, the run itself and recovery.
Results & out-processingYour station points and total are confirmed; incentive-eligible results are processed for payment.

MINDEF describes each session as taking about 1.5 hours in total, including in-processing, out-processing and the safety briefing. Busy sessions and large groups can stretch it — if you have a hard commitment afterwards, leave a buffer rather than booking back-to-back.

The test itself is short

Your actual tested effort is tiny: 1 minute of push-ups, 1 minute of sit-ups, and your 2.4km run (roughly 9–18 minutes depending on pace). Everything else is process — which is why arriving early and having your documents and attire ready is the easiest time-saver.
