2.4km Pace Calculator โ€” IPPT Lap Splits by Age Group

Pick your age and the run points you want. The tool reads the exact scoring band for your age group and gives you the finish time to beat, your per-kilometre pace, and the 400m lap splits to run it evenly.

Even pacing is the fastest way to run 2.4km for almost everyone: same time every lap, no early blow-up. Times use the exact 10-second scoring bands โ€” finish at or under the shown time to bank the points.

How to Use Your Splits on Test Day

Memorise just two numbers: your lap time and your half-way clock time (end of lap 3). If you reach halfway on schedule, you only need to hold form โ€” not speed up. If you are 5 or more seconds behind at halfway, ease the pace back gradually over lap 4 rather than sprinting; a panic surge usually costs more in lap 6 than it gains.
